Episode Info:

This podcast is about injuries and their effect on mental health.  Injuries can have a profound effect on individuals' physical and mental well being. It is not uncommon for people to develop either subclinical or significant PTSD after an injury.  This podcast discusses how to completely heal after an injury.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can help an individual become more mentally resilient.

Here is a link to a video on CBT by Barbara Heffernan LCSW who is an expert on mental resilience and helping individuals recover from PTSD.
