Episode Info:

Not too long ago, it used to be that we were all expected to have a “main job” — that one thing that we did that, basically, defines our lives. That’s the way it was in the USA, at least. In some countries, people work to live. In this country, we live to work. But now, things have changed. While we still live to work, the generally accepted idea of work has spread out to where it’s OK to do more than one thing. Today I’ll explain what I mean, and how you can take advantage. 2:55 Today's Topic: You Don't Have To Have A "Main Thing In Life" 11:53 Point I: The stigma of not having one main thing is dying out. 14:19 Point II: People were always interested in multiple things. 17:30 Point III: Nobody is interested in just one thing no matter how great they are at that one thing. 19:04 Point IV: Do not ask what the world needs. What the worlds need is people who have come alive. 23:09 The thing that you should really be doing is the thing that you could not not do. 25:23 Recap Join the Game Group Membership, where STRATEGY is the name of the game: Dre’s latest book Work On Your Game: Using The Pro Athlete Mindset To Dominate In Sports, Business and Life can be ordered at Leave A Review of Work On Your Game: The Work On Your Game podcast covers every aspect of Mental Toughness, Confidence and Discipline with 9-year pro basketball player and author of 22 books on the Mental Game of sports and life, Dre Baldwin.
