Positioned - Part 2 "Positioned for Peace"
I want this message to be an encouragement for you to understand your position in Christ, not just theology but something that helps with everyday life….understanding your position enables you to stand in difficult times.
Back to school Sunday…unrest, uncertainty, fear…evil that permeates our world has invaded life of our children. Child abuse, violence against students and teachers, gangs, drugs, alcohol, school shootings…all rob our peace. But even in difficult times…God positions us for peace through Jesus. One of Jesus’ great promises to believers is peace…. John 14:27(NKJV
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
I know He promised that but how do I live in it????????
When we are out of position, peace is stolen. Isa 26:3 nkjv You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Amp. 3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
many things can attempt to disrupt our peace..but when we are positioned in Christ we know…
Philippians 4:6-7(NKJV) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 16:7(NKJV) When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Psalms 29:11(NKJV) The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
Psalms 119:165(NKJV) Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Isaiah 54:10(NKJV) For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
2 Thessalonians 3:16(NKJV)
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
But you don’t know my situation…no but I know my God. If you will stand where he has positioned you…you will stand in peace, live in peace, nothing or no one can steal that peace. IT IS PROMISED BY GOD TO HIS CHILDREN!!!
2 Kings 4 Shunamite women…Elisha…son..died…to husband…it is well, to Elisha..It is well…how can she say that when her son is dead???? Living in the promise…standing in the position God had placed her…son was a gift..she had not asked for a son…Grace of God…
Your life in God is a gift…comes through the Grace of God..you didn’t earn it, can’ merit it, never deserve it…Gift…stand in the gift..gift comes with EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES….
Stop saying…I will never get well, my situation will never change, my spouse will never treat me right, I will never get that promotion, I will always be broke, I am an alcoholic, I am abused I am a mistake, I am worthless…..time to start saying I am standing in the position God has placed me and ALL IS WELL!!!
She said all is well and then did something to change the circumstance…some of you need to find a new job…some of you need to find a new doctor…some need to find new friends… All if well and then take action to bring change!!!!!!
Job 2:9-10(NKJV) Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. wife..do still maintain your integrity…innocence…you have done something to deserve this…. (Job 27:5 GNB) I will never say that you men are right; I will insist on my innocence to my dying day.
(Job 27:6 GNB) I will never give up my claim to be right; my conscience is clear.
My integrity I hold fast I will not let it goRead more »
