Episode Info

Episode Info: http://returningtostudy.com/10 [ Tw: @joshuacliston ] In this episode Josh thinks back to his days at University, and giving group presentations to work out what might have made those group activities more enjoyable, and more successful. Main concept: "Take the time to work out what each person within the group is both good at, and also what they like to do most." We discuss:  Spend some time upfront talking with your group about non-study related things to get a better grip on each persons strengths and personalities. Recording your group discussions, and sharing those with the group (remember to make sure everyone is OK with a REC being used, and never never show those recordings to anyone outside the group without permission). If you happen to be the "group leader" or at the very least "the driving force behind the group" don't get bogged down trying to work out who and who isn't pulling their weight. Spend that time and that energy putting people on the work they like most, and the work they're best at. Thanks for listening.
