Episode Info:

Join us for this episode as Virgil Carroll Principal Human Solutions Architect at High Monkey talks with Doug Burgett, Creative Director for Marketing Communications for Enrollment Management at the University of Illinois about the unique challenges and opportunities when tackling digital accessibility compliance in a multi-editor environment! Virgil and Doug talk about the challenges in keeping everyone on the same page and how it changes the lifecycle of your digital content. A good example shared by Doug is, “When content editors use WYSIWYG editors they don’t realize that as the enter content into the editor, code is actually being created in the back end. Knowing this helps content editors to Realize the power they have at their fingertips.” Doug goes on to explain how this approach helps editors be more cautious when implementing content and ultimately eliminates many potential accessibility issues. Virgil and Doug discussed other bad practices that they often see, and techniques and tools people can use to mitigate these risks and ensure you are always creating an inclusive customer experience!
