Episode Info: I thought for my 1st podcast I would take a trip up to a track that I had never been before.  When I was into racing before New Egypt Speedway was an asphalt track.  I didn't go to asphalt tracks, I was a dirt track fan. The pieces were all falling into place.  It was a beautiful spring like Saturday, The TSRS 305 Sprints were running for the 1st time.  And my cousin Gary had introduced me to Eddie Wagner a few weeks back and Eddie told me next time I was going to go to a race I should stop by. So I grabbed my digital  recorder and headed up to New Egypt Speedway. Now to back up a little bit, I actually met Eddie's fiance Erika Palami at Bridgeport Speedway last year.  I had taken my youngest daughter Jessica to see the Micro Sprints race and during the intermission they brought cars out to the front stretch and the fans could go down and take pictures, and talk to the drivers.  Jessica was immediately drawn to Erika's car.  That night in the feature Erika started on the outside pole and Jessica was rooting her on to win. That's how it starts.  A kid becomes a fan of a driver and then a fan of racing.  Well Erika took 2nd in that feature and we went back the next week and Erika had sold her Micro to run a 305 sprint.  So I told Jessica that this year I would take her to see Erika run again. So I get to the track and head into the pits and find Eddie's car.  I met his father Ed and they could have not been nicer to me.  They showed me the car, answered all of my questions and Eddie even agreed to do an interview with me later for this podcast.  NOTE TO SELF: Next time do the interview before the race. More about that later. I also talked to Erika again and she was nice enough to agree to an interview later. I mean what a story.  They met racing Micro Sprints in Delaware and now they are engaged.  The family that races together stays together, right? Well they were in the same heat and Erika did a great job to finish 2nd and Eddie's car was a little tight and sluggish off the turn so he finished 5th.  No issues there, and in the feature Erika was starting outside pole and Eddie was starting 14th so maybe Erika could get a good jump and run and hide and Eddie had a lot of work to get through the pack.  Maybe they wouldn't get near each other. This is Erika's 1st full season in a 305 sprint.  Erika had a few starts in a 305 sprint last year but her motor gave up the ghost and she was done for the season.  So starting second in
