Great Resource for Children of Aging Parents
As a physician and daughter of aging parents, I can say, this a great resource for all of us who are or will soon be faced with caring for our aging parents in some form or another. Managing the complex maze of issues facing us and our aging parents today while still trying to manage our own careers, families, and lives can be overwhelming. And without some sort of expert guidance, it's downright impossible. Diane is great that way. She shares her personal experience and perspective--both as a gerontologist and as the child of aging parents, herself. She has a way of breaking down the frightening and complex into very easily understood nuggets. She's got a kind and approachable way about her and has a great sense of humor. I didn't think it was possible to make topics like assisted living, dementia care and Medicare funny, but somehow she manages it. The show is surprisingly entertaining. Since I found it a week ago, I've gone back and binge-listened. Now I look forward to listening every week.
