Judi and Jasa discuss “Inspiration,” what it means, where it comes from and how you can get it.
There is a connection to the source of energy that is ours for the asking. “Inspiration,” according to the Online Etymology Dictionary is derived as follows:

c. 1300, "immediate influence of God or a god," especially that under which the holy books were written, from Old French inspiracion "inhaling, breathing in; inspiration" (13c.), from Late Latin inspirationem (nominative inspiratio), noun of action from past participle stem of Latin inspirare "blow into, breathe upon," figuratively "inspire, excite, inflame," from in- "in" (from PIE root *en "in") + spirare "to breathe" (see spirit (n.)). ,

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. [Genesis ii.7]

The sense evolution seems to be from "breathe into" to "infuse animation or influence," thus "affect, rouse, guide or control," especially by divine influence. Inspire (v.) in Middle English also was used to mean "breath or put life or spirit into the human body; impart reason to a human soul." Literal sense "act of inhaling" attested in English from 1560s. Meaning "one who inspires others" is attested by 1867.

“Spire” also makes us think of spiral energy, the basic form of all force in the universe. We can look at everything from the Milky Way Galaxy to the DNA molecule and realize that it is the spiral energy, like a coil of intensifying force, that enervates and animates our lives.

Judi’s and Jasa’s guest today is the lovely Sarah Dickey. Sarah’s new book, “Ode To Life,” ihas been produced by her new publishing company, Cool Creative Press. Sarah will tell us about how she was inspired to write her book, begin her new venture, and how she hopes you will be inspired by the gifts she has to offer.

Sarah L. Dickey is a lover of life. Her enchantment with words began as a young girl, and she has continued to cultivate this devotion into adulthood. Throughout her life she has passionately pursued various paths of personal growth and professional development. Seeing the world through a spiritual lens is in the fabric of her being. Sarah has been a heart centered hypnotherapist, transpersonal coach, and yoga instructor.

In 2016 she began working on her first book, Ode to Love. Sarah says the book arrived as a beautiful offering, showing up and quietly rousing to be written. There was no insisting, rather a flow of inspiration that found its way onto the page.
From this experience, she decided to launch Cool Creative Press, which stems from a genuine intention to serve. It’s a springboard of opportunity for other writers who have been visioning creative works and would like to share them with the world. As founder of Cool Creative Press, Sarah hopes to inspire authentic truths of living through the written word, those of her own as well as others.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in education from Malone University. When not involved in her new publishing venture, you’ll often find Sarah behind the lens of her camera, teaching a yoga class, blogging about life, or designing other possibilities to share her light with the world.
