Episode Info:

The guys start the show with the weekly check in with the crew and see what's good. The guys catch up on air conditioners, baking bread, upgrading the backyard and vacation planning in the middle of a pandemic.

The major topic tackled this week is reparations in America with the help of scholar Dr. Ray Winbush. The topic of reparations has been gaining steam over the passing years and Dr. Winbush gives us a lesson on the history of the reparations movement, the current status and his thoughts on the future of the movement.

The crew also pays its respects to Congressman John Lewis and the Reverend C.T. Vivian who both transitioned on the same day.  These human rights pioneers both dedicated their lives for betterment of Black people in America and across the world. They will both be sorely missed, but their legacy is strong and enduring.

You’ll hear all this and more in this week’s episode of Decoding 40. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, FacebookInstagram and  Patreon.
