By day, Candace Sanchez is the current IT (Information Technology) Site Liaison of Strategic Account Management with Ascension Information Services in Milwaukee, WI. Candace started her healthcare career as a Patient Registration Associate/Cashier in 1994. Using the two daughters she had at a young age as motivation, Candace was able to turn the job she had to support her family into a very successful career. And she isn’t finished yet!
Candace is currently using her inspirational story of how she was able to overcome a troubled youth and was able to find happiness in her career, family and most importantly within herself to inspire others in her new motivational book titled “Unspoken”.
Candace Sanchez was born and raised in Racine, WI. Her Racine roots provided her a strong foundation to be a successful Latina woman. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1989. Candace fulfilled her education goals by obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix in June 2008 and followed up with her Master’s Degree of Business Administration also from the University of Phoenix in June 2014.
Candace prides herself on being a servant leader. She is committed to her community. She has served as the Past President of Por La Gente Association and is currently the Treasurer. Candace is put in countless hours helping establish this organization which currently provides three $3000 scholarships to local Latino youth. Candace also helped to found the Milwaukee Chapter for the University of Phoenix Alumni Association and served as the Vice President of Operations. Last but not least, Candace is a proud sister of Gamma Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Through GAO Candace has volunteered at numerous events including the annual “Make A Difference Day” and “Hunger Cleanup” events, the local food bank, and at the Milwaukee AIDS walk.
