How do you get fitter, faster, stronger, better when your cup is already overflowing with mental noise, anxiety, pressure and stress? You have 2 choices - you can let it overflow or you can get a bigger cup.
In this episode we discuss the commonality of humans and how negative thoughts and emotions can hamper progress and performance. For the competitive athlete it might mean underperforming on competition day. For the everyday CrossFitter it might mean not showing up to the gym, cherry picking workouts, or not putting in your best effort. You can, of course, also extrapolate this into other areas of life.
To worry and have negative thoughts is human - it's how we have survived for thousands of years. But telling someone to stop worrying is probably one of the most unhelpful pieces of advice that is often dished out! Instead we offer some alternate solutions to help you get a bigger cup, and in the process keep moving you down the road to a richer and more rewarding life.Read more »
