The Jazz Hole Live with Linus features a live set by the NYC-based Hyuna Park Trio today, recorded at Birdland Theater, the new addition to the legendary Birdland Jazz Club. South Korean bandleader, composer and pianist Hyuna Park is joined by the Colorado-born bassist Myles Sloniker, the Austrian-born drummer Peter Traunmueller and on one tune by her husband, Swiss producer, composer and trombonist Amadis Dunkel. Hyuna Park can be heard on several recordings, on some of them as a co-leader, but “Her Morning Waltz” is her phenomenal trio debut album, where she draws in listeners from the first note.
