Episode Info

Episode Info: Tony Gambone is the founder of a radio show network, the Tough Talk Radio Network. He helps speakers and authors share their message to the world, as hosts of their own radio show. His path to this point has been an interesting one. A Philadelphia native, Tony was involved for several years in the gambling industry in Las Vegas and on the Mississippi river boats. He went from being a dealer to training dealers to managing the casinos as Director of Casino Operations. After moving to Texas, Tony started a home remodeling business but a long-standing illness, Crohn's Disease, forced him to retire from that industry. Searching for something to do to earn a living, Tony stumbled through the back door of the radio show world. He first started a show, pitching a business he was involved in - not knowing anything about how to do that. Somehow, he made it happen. He then decided to recruit others to do shows under the radio network he was building. Our own Behind the Business Card co-host, Linda Ballesteros, was the first host who Tony recruited. Linda had never done a radio show and over several years, grew to become a highly skilled interviewer. All of this was thanks to Tony Gambone. Tony and his wife, Wendy, who together run the Tough Talk Radio Network, realize that most people do not know how to be radio show hosts so they developed a training program to help others become radio hosts. To date, they have trained dozens of hosts. Hosting a radio show is an ideal way to network with and get to know others in different industries - and grow your business at the same time. Sitting back and taking a look through the looking glass at the life he has lived, Tony is writing a book about his life's journey. He has also developed a program called GAMBLE. He feels that everything in life is a business and should be run like one, whether it's your job, being a spouse or parent or any other part of your life. It's also important to educate yourself on how to better yourself. The GAMBLE program features create an acronym reflecting things that are important in life: Growth Accountable Marketing Beliefs Leverage Enjoyment According to Tony, "Once you step out and try something, more things evolve from it and you can help so many other people share their message. I help people with my story so they know how to plow through the traffic that they hit in their daily road of life." Tony's GAMBLE programs helps you have a plan to follow so you're not going blindly
