Episode Info: In 1995 Larry Chijner decided that he wanted to have a car built so he could compete in the IASCA Novice division. Learn how that decision and the resulting vehicle changed the face of Novice Competition forever.   I was born in Steubenville Ohio 5/17/1955. Went to High school in Mt Lebanon Pa . Grauated and went to Ohio State for 2 yrs and then completed studies at WVU in Morgantown. Graduated with Bachelors degree in Marketing and Management. After college went to work at family furniture store in Weirton  , WV. I have always been into car audio and home audio. At  WVU I purchased my first awesome home audio system. GAS Ampzilla with Thoebe preamp and Dahlquist D Q 10 Speakers and a full blown Alpine system for my car. In 1994 got involved in Car audio competition in a 1993 Red Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe. I had many sponsors over the 10 years of competing from, Xtant, MBQuart, Rockford , Team Pioneer, JLAuido, Image Dynamics,a Dynamat, Dynaudio, Kimber Kable, Streetwires, JBL and Infinity with Infinity Epsilon Speakers, etc. Won IASCA World Finals in 1995 and Car Stereo Review Rookie of the Year. Turned Pro the following year and finished in the top 4 in my class in different place in every Finals I competed in with many Finals having 25 to 30 people in my class. Also competed in SLAP competitions (Terry Miller) and won Pro class in 2000. Placed also at MECA Finals at every show. I won best of show many times and attended Audio Thunder in Toronto Canada every March as a kick off for the year before spring break nationals. I enjoyed every minute of competing and a trying to make may car look and sound better by learning and trial and error. Sold the Cadillac in 2010 and now working on a 2014 BMW M428iIX with Dinan Tune and Muffler. Audio system is supported by Hybrid Audio Technologies and is a work in progress as we speak. Just turned 60 this month and still love car audio and music in general.
