Episode Info:

Historically, Unitarian Universalism has been a “this worldly” faith, interested in salvation and justice in this world and not the next one. In current times, however, our congregations find their best work by offering a counter narrative to the world as it is. What is Beacon’s counter narrative of love, connection and service in our struggling world?  Rev. Megan Foley serves as Regional Lead for the Central East Region staff of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Before joining regional staff, she served for six years as the minister of the Sugarloaf Congregation of Unitarian Universalists in Germantown, Maryland. Megan brings expertise in small congregational life and focused ministries to the regional team and is working on a Doctor of Ministry in Public Theology degree at Drew University. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband Neil while their two sons attend the University of Maryland down the road – Go Terps!
