Aspire to Greatness"Aspire rather to be a hero than merely appear one." Baltasar Gracian To start with you have to form an idea of who you wish to be. Can you visualise that person, their state of mind, their physical body and state of being. Write down how that person is, you could even draw a picture and write the attributes your ideal person has. How would you like to be? Maybe a person who is always centred in who they truly are, no problem seems to ruffle them, no unkind words come out of their mouth, a person who seems to find life easy. Given that we are all connected and we all apparently live in the same world, I say apparently for our reality is probably very different than we imagine, but for the sake of simplicity I use that term. We receive news from all over the world so if we allow it, someone else's reality over the other side of the world can become ours. We can be affected by it. We can employ compassionate objectivity to deal with the events around us, we do not have to become depressed or sad or feel guilty because we are happy with good lives and someone else is less fortunate. However, this does not mean that we can't be compassionate. Problems come and go in life, and indeed we can learn from them, so you may wish to aspire to be a person who always seems to find the right solutions. Giving that really all we truly know is the present then you can start working on being the person you aspire to be now. Consider it done, this is our true power if only we realised it, the now, when we live our lives in the past or future we are not truly living. In the end time really is just a representation of change so change now. Don't think about the mamouth task ahead, if it is a mamouth task, simply take one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute, one moment. We all have the now, all of us, use the power of now. "Aspire to greatness, the greatness within."
