Welcome to the first episode of The AndhedrewCast!
In this episode, I talk about starting. I thought it appropriate.
You see, the knowledge isn't enough. You might be trapped, and you might want out, but that knowledge doesn't do a lick of good if you don't know where you're going. Here's some of what I go through in the episode:
What's not working in your life right now?
+I take you through an exercise that will help you define the enemy clearly. You might have the vague feeling that something's not working, but you can't define a direction based on a feeling.
Where do I want to go?
+Once you've defined what's not working – what you're running from – now it's time to define what you're running to. What's the big change you want to make? Where do you want to be in a year? If you don't define this, you'll probably be in the exact place you are right now.
+Let's learn to dream again, if you've forgotten how.
Start making progress every day
+I talk about how frustrating this advice is to me, and how I try to follow it anyway. It's got power to unleash your gifts and abilities in amazing ways.
Be ok with small failures. Learn from them
+On the road to anywhere worth going, there are going to be a lot of setbacks. You've got to be able to let them bounce off of you as you keep on moving.
Find someone to be there for you
+ Hopefully lots of someones are there for you through podcasts, blogs, books, etc. However, it's important to have at least one person who really gets what you're trying to accomplish, and will encourage you, instead of tearing you down.
