Show Info: About Nancy Jester Nancy Jester is a governance consultant for the Georgia Charter Schools Association, which advocates for public charter schools in the state of Georgia. Before starting her family she worked as an actuarial consultant in Georgia and Texas where she focused on pension plans and governmental compliance reporting. Nancy also consulted on technical writing projects. Jester is a published author of articles advocating conservative solutions and reform in education. She also writes a blog and e-newsletter focused on educational issues in DeKalb County and the state. Jester’s civic involvement includes serving as a former member of the DeKalb County Board of Education, member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, founding president of the Hawthorne Foundation, chair of the Hawthorne School Council, an elder with the Shallowford Presbyterian Church and former chair and treasurer of the Shallowford Presbyterian Preschool. Jester earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and participated in graduate studies at Emory University. She and her husband, Stanley, reside in Dunwoody, Ga., with their three children.
