A Spoonful of Skepticism Podcast Episode 03 - Atheism, Science, and Faith

In this episode, I examine the propositions that atheism and science require faith by first looking at the different facets and forms of faith, then applying them to religion, then subsequently to atheism and to science.
A point of clarity about denial of a scientific theory (a point I make later in the episode):
I should have also clarified that, when doing research into the evidence for a theory, it's imperative that you use a credible scientific source. If you don't, and are asked to comment or remark on what you've researched or know about the topic, then you'll most likely ruin your own credibility by quoting incorrect information. For instance, if you say, "I reject evolution because man couldn't have evolved from monkeys," then you'll be laughed at, because you clearly wouldn't have an accurate understanding of evolution, which would be no fault but your own.
Do not let those with zero expertise and authority explain science to you. And if you do, ask for citation (at least if you're on the internet). This ESPECIALLY includes your pastors and ministers. Enlighten yourself for your own well-being.
