Product Manager
Product Manager

The Product Manager will be the owner of or contributor to multiple products within the Stitcher platform. These products will include the Stitcher mobile apps (iOS and Android), web properties, automotive and CE integrations, advertising platform, partner and back office tools. You will create product strategies, define requirements and work with the design and development teams to ship world class products to millions of Stitcher users. This role reports to the General Manager and VP of Product.

The ideal candidate will be someone skilled at working at the intersection of business, technology and user experience. You should be highly skilled at all aspects of product management - product strategy, data gathering, and analysis, synthesis and prioritization of requirements, wireframing/specification writing, development cycle management, bringing apps to market and then improving them based on qualitative and quantitative user feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Stitcher & Midroll team to help create and execute on Stitcher/Midroll's strategy to be the leading full stack services provider in the podcasting space.
  • Create product specifications including wireframe designs; work with Design team to create prototypes and mock ups
  • Assist with project management tasks in order to ensure on time delivery of products to market
  • Work closely with the content team to create compelling content & programming experiences as well as internal and partner tools to enable them
  • Assist the sales team in creating user friendly ad experiences with the apps and development team to implement and maintain them
  • Analyze product usage data in order to improve key product metrics such as retention and engagement; identify new areas where metrics would be useful and actionable
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities from a product perspective
  • Evolve and improve existing automotive and CE integrations. Prioritize and lead additional third party platform opportunities in the automotive, home and wearables segments
  • Track and maintain up to date information on competitors and potential competitors in the audio space

  • Skills And Abilities

  • 3-5 years of product management experience designing, creating and shipping a successful consumer software product(s)
  • Experience creating Android, iOS and web applications
  • Passion for talk radio/podcasts & audio products generally
  • Able to motivate others to achieve great things through exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a sense of humor
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or MBA from top tier program or work equivalent

  • Preferred

  • Experience with user research/usability studies
  • Experience building freemium businesses; familiarity with ad & subscription product/platform development
  • Familiarity with media applications, including streaming media
  • Familiarity with automotive and consumer electronics app integrations

  • Work Environment

  • Limited travel
  • Minimal weekend and/or holiday work required
  • SF Bay Area candidates preferred job location will be in San Francisco
