This is a great opportunity to join a small product team and have a large impact on the product and the industry. The Designer will be responsible aspects of the UX and visual design for our mobile apps (iOS and Android), our web app, our automotive and consumer electronics integrations, as well as our partner portal and back office tools. You will work directly with Product Management and Engineering and you'll have the full support of the Director of Design to help us deliver world class products to podcast fans and creators around the world. What You'll Do

  • Define design problems and goals, then translate complex requirements into simple, elegant and effective product concepts.
  • Play a central role in a major redesign of both product and brand in 2018-19, which means lots of exploration and mock ups - bring your imagination.
  • Produce production level comps, style guides, and assets that are pixel perfect and act as blueprints for the development team. Work effectively with developers through each sprint see your designs executed, working through tradeoffs along the way.
  • Work with the Director of Design to evolve the visual design of the product based on brand updates, target audiences and an encyclopedic knowledge of current design trends.
  • Work collaboratively as well as independently. When working independently, use your organizational and communication skills to set and hit desired timelines.
  • Be a champion of and expert on the Stitcher brand - uphold design and brand standards by assuring your designs fit the visual framework.
  • Collaborate with the extended team in New York and Los Angeles on various projects.

What You'll Bring To The Job

The ideal candidate will be passionate about great design, consumer software design and podcasts. They will bring great ideas and enthusiasm to the process and team combined with an ability to expediently execute in a fast-changing environment.

  • Experience designing native mobile apps (we are mobile first) as well as desktop apps, and websites (including mobile responsive sites) from concepts to wireframes to mockups.
  • Expertise creating software designs with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch.
  • An understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • A strong hierarchy/layout/typography skill set.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently believe in and pitch your ideas to the rest of the product team while staying humble enough to hear and leverage the opinions of others.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience wireframing and user testing (A/B live testing and in person ad hoc testing) complex product flows.
  • Experience in photo retouching, photo-manipulation, and compositing.

To improve our end-user products and our infrastructure as well as accommodate our continued growth, we're looking for a stellar backend web software developer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a significant part in designing and implementing improvements and enhancements to our web properties and to our end-user services in general. What You'll Do

  • Play a central role in architecting and implementing the server components of new features for the Stitcher service, and implement those features on our platform as appropriate by working with other parts of the development team including data engineers, mobile client developers and front end web developers
  • Use state-of-the-art monitoring and profiling tools to analyze system performance and architect, plan and implement optimizations to improve throughput and user experience
  • Re-architect and enhance our the B2B portal used by our 50,000+ content providers, allowing them to manage and monitor their content on the Stitcher platform
  • Re-architect and enhance our internal CMS portal, used by the Stitcher/Midroll content team to publish, manage and monitor both Stitcher produced and externally produced content
  • Re-architect and enhance our various other web properties including our web app that allows listeners to sync their listening with our mobile apps
  • Re-architect and enhance the server side services used by all our other clients
  • Collaborate with the Stitcher / Midroll team to help create and execute on Stitcher/Midroll's strategy to be the leading full stack services provider in the podcasting space.

  • Have meaningful work experience in a demanding software development environment, ideally including small and large companies, and a willingness to bring your best practices to Stitcher
  • Have excellent server-side programming skills, specifically with PHP and Laravel

Listener Support Specialist

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Stitcher, you will be part of a fast-moving data team and responsible for the information needs of the organization, answering analytical questions, building and maintaining the metrics dashboard and digging into the vast repository of raw data to extract meaningful insights.
