Masks, Monsters, and a Metalhead
About This Show
The internet's most self-indulgent movie discussion podcast. This is not your typical movie review podcast. This podcast will cover only the genre movies that I care about. If it doesn’t fall into the geek genres of comic book/super-hero, kaiju (japanese giant monster), and horror films then I highly doubt I am going to talk about it. If I have no interest in watching, or discussing a movie, then I doubt it will get featured on Masks, Monsters, and a Metalhead. If you like the same things I do, then you might enjoy this podcast.

Episode 15: Iron Man 2 Discussion

C.W. likes watching friends fight! Bill loves the Uni-Beam! Our countdown to "Avengers 2" continues...
Do you dig the artwork for this episode? It was provided by none other than artist extraordinaire, Mark McCoy, who you might have heard on "Episode 13: The Free-For-All." There will be more to come as Mark will be supplying the artwork for Masks, Monsters, and a Metalhead from now on. If you are interested in getting your hands on the art you see here on this site, then keep your eyes peeled for more info. "Iron Man 2" is a watchable movie, and would probably get a "Viking-Metal Yea" from me under most circumstances, but an uneven script, and characters shoe-horned into the movie, as well as sub-plots that just never seen to go anywhere, didn't leave me with a wonderful feeling when I saw this in the theater. In fact, watching this movie for Episode 15 is only the second time, I've seen this film. For this review, I was joined by C.W. as we attempt to deliver a proper sequel of our own to the "Iron Man" discussion back in Episode 7. We don't concentrate too much on the returning players and themes, and instead focus our lens on the new players, writer, and characters that grace this movie. How did I feel about my second viewing of this film? You'll have to listen to find out...and now, on to the show notes.
