Kimberly James grew up believing that ‘black people don’t travel’. At 24, she went to Europe with a friend, and instantly got bit by the travel bug. When she turned 25, she moved to Mexico, by herself, and hasn’t stopped traveling since. Kimberly is in her mid-40s now, and still hears the words, “Black people don’t travel,” from fellow African Americans.
