About This Show
Show Info: Rick Moser has been involved in facilitating worship since the late 1970’s. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with an Arts degree - majoring in languages - and from the Apostolic Faith Mission’s Theological Seminary in Auckland Park. He holds credentials with that denomination as an ordained minister, and is acknowledged as a pioneer and a key leader in the arena of worship. He has ministered in a number of different communities, serving the Kingdom in a full time capacity as administrator, pastor, teacher, worship leader and educator since 1985. He has played a significant role in communicating sound Biblical principles and perspectives into the lives of developing artists and training institutions. Rick has been involved in worship in the city of Pretoria for many years, working closely with Alan Platt in Doxa Deo (Previously Corpus Christi) since 1992. Between 1995 and 1999, he released two live worship albums, considered by many to be pioneering works in the Afrikaans Worship community. His third album was released in 2007. Over the years, Rick has also written and co-written songs for a number of Gospel artists, and recorded with other worship leaders and songwriters in the city. Rick’s influence as a psalmist, songwriter, minister, leader and friend reaches beyond his local congregation into the lives and ministries of churches and worship leaders in the city and the nation. He was for many years involved in the Transforming Tshwane prayer and worship initiatives in the Eastern suburbs of the city of Tshwane (Pretoria) and is currently serving on Doxa Deo’s Worship Leaders’ Forum as a key role player at both Doxa Deo’s Oos, East and Silver Lakes Sites. His passion is to challenge leaders and learners alike on the issues of a Biblical Philosophy of the Arts, developing a Christ-centred world-view for potential leaders in the Arts and Creative Communication environment. Rick and Belinda were married in 1983, and together they have invested many years in developing people to serve the body of Christ through the local church. Belinda currently heads up Bethel’s Sozo Ministry processes within Doxa Deo in Pretoria. They have two children, Jason and Cecilé, both of whom are married. Jason has been a professional musician since 2006, and currently represents Sonor in South Africa as their Artists’ Relations Manager. Cecilé is a Pilates instructor with Body Arts and Science International.
