The League of Awkward Unicorns
About This Show
Author and social activist Deanna Zandt (“Share This!”) gets together with author and weirdo Alice Bradley (“Let’s Panic About Babies”) to talk about depression, anxiety, and all the other ways our brains can play tricks on us. They’ll also discuss what helps, whether it’s medication, meditation, or binge-watching Netflix while eating an entire wheel of cheese. Join Alice and Deanna every other week as they amuse each other and the guests they’ve managed to trick into joining them. It’s all going to be okay. Probably.

Alice and Deanna chat with writer/performer Paolo Sambrano about how he turned his struggles with bipolar disorder into a one-man show (as you do). They also talk about the pros and cons of treating your body like it’s a coding project, why Alice can’t meditate, when self-care becomes another form of disordered thinking, and is everything out of reach because you ate gluten once. Plus: delightful things! Show notes and more at http://leagueofawkwardunicorns.com/.

I need these guys. Every day.
Alice and Deanna can't record every day, because they have people in their lives and also have to eat and sleep, exercise is nice, too. But if I could get them every day, my life would be easier. Alice and Deanna are the friends we wish we had in real life. They make us feel special, and more important: that we're Ok. Don't miss this podcast, especially if you were that lonely kid growing up that never could find friends: you'll finally find them here. I love these two. You will too.

I may be biased, but this show is awesome.
OK, I'm absolutely biased--I'm one of the co-hosts. But we're a pretty fun listen.
