About This Show

Although we do this long distance; our love for discovering new books, delving into different points of view and expressing our personal opinions remains close to home.

"Some journeys take us far from home. Some adventures lead us to our destiny.” -C.S. Lewis Welcome to the mystical and wondrous world of Narnia! Full of talking creatures, magical spells and even Santa Claus! Cinthia and I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely a magical ride especially since neither of us had the chance to read it when we were kids. We discuss our favorite themes and characters in the story, but admit we only scratched the surface. We realize there are lots of deeper themes and allegories sprinkled throughout the book, often theological in origin. We talk a bit about the interesting life of C.S. Lewis and what a wonderful imagination this man had. Also -stick around until the end since we have a fun little surprise we try out for the first time! We call it the Sister Pop Quiz ;) Please don't be shy to let us know what you think about our episode and if YOU have ever read this classic? Let us know if you loved it, hated it.. or somewhere in between. We also mention Goodreads at one point, so below are our personal Goodreads account: Please friend us on Goodreads - we'd love to share and discover more books! https://www.goodreads.com/karen https://www.goodreads.com/cinthia Want us to read a specific book?
