Welcome to the latest episode of The Half Podcast - I am, as ever, James Lawrence and this episode comes to from last year’s Surviving Actors event in central London. I’m talking to the founder of the event Felicity Jackson, who was kind enough to sit down with me for a few minutes on the biggest and busiest day of her year. I’m releasing this conversation as a way of imploring you to attend this year’s Surviving Actors convention if you’re not already - it’s this Saturday - 4th Feb 2017 from 10-5 at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel near Marble Arch. I was there last year and it’s well worth checking out. It’s completely free to attend and the seminars and workshops are really reasonably priced as well. It’s expensive to be an actor, but Surviving Actors does a great job of making sure that it’s an affordable and useful event to attend. You’ll hear Felicity talk a little about what’s on offer at Surviving Actors during this interview and I strongly encourage you to check the event out. So, without further ado - you are listening to The Half and this is Felicity Jackson… And there we have it. The wonderful Felicity Jackson there, talking about her creation - Surviving Actors. The 2017 London event is this Saturday, the 4th of February at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel near Marble Arch and I urge you to check it out. It’s free to attend and seminars and workshops with the likes of casting directors Tree Petts, Sue Jones and Ginny Schiller, agents from Curtis Brown and directors like Simon Godwin are just £6 each, so check it out. So head over to survivingactors.com and check them out @SurvivngActors on Twitter. Felicity is @Felicity_Tweets. Get down to Surviving Actors, have a look around and start 2017 off in the best possible way. Until next time, I am James Lawrence, I am on Twitter @TheMrJL, talk about the show using the hashtag #TheHalfPod and have a bloody lovely 2017.
