I have never spoken about health & fitness on this podcast. What's the reason for that? I'm not a big health nut! I get a fair amount of exercise with work by going up & down stairs and lifting heavy objects. But lately that just hasn't been enough to keep up with my metabolism that seems to be slowing down. Yup, you guessed it - I'm getting a gut. The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. If God lives in us, then we ought to care for our bodies the best we can. As I drive around for work, it's way too easy to go through the fast food line and grab a burger if the contents of my lunch pail didn't quite fill me up. However, I find it hard to bow my head and say "thanks for this food" when I know it's loaded with a million calories and dripping in fat. This episode is all about painful sit-ups, gruelling push-ups, a treadmill that goes on forever and a new time of prayer.
