So What Do You Really Do?
About This Show
So What Do You Really Do? A podcast hosted by Deadair Dennis Maler talking with comedians, artists, and entertainers about their day jobs. Deadair Dennis is a comedian, a radio vet, and entertainer who has held many terrible day jobs while trying to achieve his goal of paying his rent from performing. Over the years he has worked in construction, restaurants, sales, radio, and soul-sucking, florescent lit offices. Luckily over the years he has met a staggering amount of other artists who have amazing interesting careers while still working at night to make it as an actor, comedian, musician, artists, etc. Sit down with him as chats with some of these amazingly talented artists.

Vidographer & Musician Mike Rivkees of Mickey Rickshaw
Today on the podcast Videographer and musician Mike Rivkees of the band Mickey Rickshaw. I met Mike at an open mic in Jamaica Plain about 8 or 9 months ago, and we finally now were able to get together for this podcast. I was hoping some members of the band were going to show up, so we could get a live acoustic performance in the home studio, but that didn’t happen. Which with musicians is not surprising. They (and that includes me) are an unreliable bunch at times. When I met Mike he was a videographer for furniture company Wayfair, but has since gone out on his own freelancing. We’ll talk more about that, being a musician and touring, his path into making videos, living in Italy and learning Italian, and a lot more. After the podcast is the band new song Nonprofit Warfare.
Music in this episode by my good friend Scott Lester & The Dirty Dottys.

That was interesting
Really cool podcast about what comedians and musicians have to do to make ends meet because they barely get paid. Can't wait to listen to more!
