She Eats Loudly
About This Show
A podcast about eating real food that's local, seasonally grown and in bourbon. Okay, the food isn't always in bourbon - but it helps! I like my food like I like my drinks - strong and flavorful! ..Much like my opinions. Find me at SheEats.ca or drop me a note at email@example.com - you know you wanna.

Why I Am Not A Vegetarian - Ep 008
Apr 21 14
A lot of things to consider when choosing to eat or not eat meat - a choice we all make whether we're conscious of it or not. This week we're taking an indepth look at why I am not a vegetarian and why you might want to think about why you do (or do not) eat meat. In this episode, we'll talk about blind vegetariansm vs. ethical eating (regional food, seasonal food and local food), 5 tools you can use or questions you can ask yourself or your butcher to make the best meat choice possible, my esperience with being a carnivore and vegetarian and what I learned from it, AND some fresh, seasonal recipes that you can grab to get less meat in your life, but better meat. Meat, food politics and why it all matters; Why daring to ask the hard questions of ourselves and our eating habits, asking "stupid questions" at the farmer's market or butcher or even simply trying something new and failing, might be uncomfortable but it's way better than getting eaten by a great white shark.
