The Creativity Roots Podcast - Ep4 - Not Talking Politics Talking Social
After one week from the result of the presidential elections in the United States, we could not comment on the feelings and fears of the people facing all the movement of hatred and prejudice that this campaign and specifically this new president have instigated. The feeling of entitlement from those who raise the flag of ignorance with pride and feel with the right to use racial harassment and abusive behavior against minorities and immigrants because is now correct to be politically incorrect. Now racism has been institutionalized. In the music break, we have another theme from Masseratti 2Litros, the song "Levantate" which talks about those social and political movements that requested from people to stand up. https://itunes.apple.com/pl/album/colores-de-ideas-7/id356549219?l=pl After the break we open the conversation about how we need to be creative to organise and participate in social movements, when we think of social movements we think of thousands of people united, marching for a cause, but we need to understand that a few people doing good for a few others is already a social a movement equally important and necessary. We introduce a cool Kickstarter project called Redress, a short film that looks at the justice system when racial tensions and revenge intersect. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jaysonjohnsonshow/incite-conversation-about-racism-and-justice-w-red?ref=nav_search Special thanks to the talented and beautiful Micronesian musician and artist E.Ellehcim for the intro and outro theme called Rooted Leaps, composed especially for The Creativity Roots Podcast.
