On this episode of the podcast: We talk about the Sundance hit, The Birth of a Nation. While we have mixed feelings about the technical (and historical) merit of the film, there is no doubt that the controversy outside the film and the topics inside the film give us more than enough fodder for this episode. We get to try to (again) separate art from artist as well as ask what the Bible has to say about slavery, oppression, justice, and wrath. More than anything, the film makes us ask what part we play in all of this. Enjoy! This episode’s panel included MJ Smith (The Before and After Podcast) and JR Forasteros (The StoryMen, Don’t Split Up).
