RNZ: Spectrum

About This Show

Show Info: Spectrum is a long-running documentary series – it began in 1972 – which captures the essence of New Zealand through stories, landscape and people. On Sunday 24th July 2016, we will fondly say farewell to Spectrum with a retrospective look at some of the highlights from 44 years of documenting the lives of New Zealanders. Standing Room Only with Lynn Freeman (Sunday at 12:10pm) will continue to tell the stories of New Zealanders with a weekly documentary created in conjunction with our cultural institutions, organisations, and individuals. From historians, genealogists, archaeologists and other researchers, to organisations such as the National Library and Te Papa, we will share stories from our past, as well as stories from today – how things have changed and how they’re stayed the same. You can continue to enjoy many hours of Spectrum documentaries in the archives below.
