Andy Young with guest co host Ade Hardy introduced Colin Worrall as ‘The most hated man in Hull’ A few years ago Colin Worrall asked Hull City Council ‘what happened to £320,000,000 which is unspent and unaccounted for’? Since then he has been labelled as ‘The Most Hated Man In Hull’ by Angus Young of The Hull Daily Mail, had his face plastered all over the front page, had private injunctions taken out against him and subsequently been banned from all council and residents association meetings. He is also banned from appearing on ITVs Calendar News, BBC Look North News, BBC Radio Humberside and Viking FM. He is even banned from his doctor’s surgery for questioning a prescription. As a resident of the Bransholme Estate, Colin is a man with high standards and good morals who has, so far stood in the local council elections twice, the first as a UKIP candidate, because he was refused membership by the local Labour Party and the second as a candidate for ‘Yorkshire First’, on both occasions witnessing blatant vote rigging, miss handling of ballot papers and boxes including 6 people taking 4 hours to count just 6000 votes. After allegedly losing by just 46 votes, Colin is undeterred and promises to stand as a candidate every year until the truth is told to the people of Hull. This compelling story twists and turns through money mismanagement, council corruption, media gagging, misreporting by The Hull Daily Mail and police visits telling him ‘to stop asking questions’. You can keep up with Colin’s work via his facebook page Many thanks to Colin for joining us to share his story and we look forward to next time and thanks also go to our listeners for their continued support. This man of principal is a true force to be reckoned with. A show definitely not to be missed.
