Gary Taubes, author of WHY WE GET FAT And What To do About It is a contributing correspondent for Science magazine. He has received three Science in Society Journalisn Awards from the National Association of Science Writers, the only print journalist so recognized and is currently a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Investigator in Health Policy Research at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. As a foremost expert on health policy in the US, Taubes will share his findings to increase our understanding of misguided low-fat diets as well as effects of insulin, genetics and scientific postulates that have guided our health choices up to now.
