Eagles OTAs & Offseason Chatter (PST Show #211)
NFL and Eagles football is being played! Sure, it’s just Eagles OTAs, but it’s something, and we’re seeing some growth from this Eagles team. This week, we’ve brought Brandon Lee Gowton (@BrandonGowton) from BleedingGreenNation.com and BNG Radio onto the show to get into what he’s seen from this Eagles team down at the NovaCare Complex.
But first, on the Brief News & Views segment:
1. Phillies Talk: Scott Kingery is a great prospect to watch, can Howie Kendrick give this team a spark upon his return and Bob McClure’s future as the Phils’ pitching coach. (5:35)
2. The NFL will now allow celebrations! (20:15)
3. We have two TAKE IT or LEAVE IT stories this week: The Sixers will make the playoffs this coming season, and Jeff Teague is a better option for the Sixers than Kyle Lowry. (23:30)
Lots of Listener Feedback to get to this week: initial thoughts on the Flyers and the NHL Expansion Draft, reflecting on the Flyers and Laviolette, what we’re sick of within Philly sports, and Nelson Agholor’s performance thus far in OTAs. (30:35)
And then what we’re throwing down on the Table is an in-depth and candid interview with one of our favorite Eagles writers, Brandon Lee Gowton. We started the interview by discussing the ramifications of Fletcher Cox missing OTAs this week. From there we discussed the slew of free agents the Eagles have signed during this offseason and what they mean for this team moving forward: LeGarrette Blount, Alshon Jeffery, and Chance Warmack. Brandon tells us what he’s seen up close and personal from the wide receiver corps that last season was one of the worst in the NFL. Are they getting better? Then we finished out the interview by discussing the one-year contract strategy by the Eagles front office. It’s a great interview you won’t want to miss! (44:20)

Great Philly sports podcast!
This is a great Philly sports podcast to listen to. Much different than listening to the ridiculous Philly sports talk radio. Jeff and Len are fans who "get it." Their passion comes though and they really have an entertaining and logical approach to looking at the world of Philly sports. I love listening every week. Keep it up, guys!
