Our All-Time Favorite Burnt Toast Moments from the Archives
We went back through the archives to highlight some of our favorite clips over the past two years. Why? Burnt Toast is taking a short break to come back even better—with deeper storytelling—in 2017. We’ll be re-releasing episodes we love in the meantime. For now: Enjoy stories of diapers on turkeys, Jonathan Gold on being a critic, and the story of a wedding toast that went awry.

Great interviews, thought provoking
I've really enjoyed this podcast. Lots of stories and the interviews have been interesting. A good one to start with is Man vs. Meatloaf. The interviews are the strongest in my opinion - just a nice conversation and Food52 really has an appreciation for food and cooking that comes through in those interviews. I don't live in NYC and am not really a foodie so everything on the podcast sounds a bit new and interesting to me. Good way to keep in touch with what food writing is like today.

Too pretentious, too whispery
After listening to a few episodes I found the content lacking maturity and experience, yet full of NYC pretension. The vocal style of the host not only sounds like a child (high pitched, quiet and vocal fry), but seriously lacks vocal projection.
