Q:What are you most passionate about?
A: People who want more of Jesus but have been turned off by the church, or are jaded by the Christian experience. They are people that grow up in the church and want to be free but are playing the “game” because they feel like they have to be perfect. That’s why Dad Tired is such an effective ministry because Jerrad is passionate and speaks to those guys.
Q: What was the lowest darkest time in your walk?
A: Being a married man has been the most difficult thing for Jerrad. With other people, he can hide his junk but with his wife… she sees it all. Specifically, when he was newly married he had to have the “lust” talk with his wife and it broke his heart to see how deeply hurt she was.
Q:What are the lessons you learned from that?
A: Take what is in the darkness and put it into the light. When bad attitudes start to come up, instead of letting it fester in the loneliness of your mind, bring it to the light with others so you can quickly get it out of your heart and mind.
Q: What would you say to someone who needs to bring something into the light but is too scared to let the light in?
A: John says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us. James says that when we confess to each other we are healed. Confession to God brings forgiveness, but confession to each other brings healing. For those that are scared, realize that c
