Masters of Money
About This Show
Since I started participating in the conversation about money, this stuff happened: I've paid off student loans and car loans, saved up an emergency fund, maxed out my retirement accounts, saved up for two down payments for homes, and left my corporate career to start two businesses. I want you to have the same results that I have had. That means you need to start getting in on the conversation. To make it easy, I want to bring more conversations about money to you. So here's what I'm doing. I'm starting a new podcast show called Masters of Money where I interview the people of FinCon, the event I run for financial nerds, and get them to open up about: their financial turnaround, the goals they've achieved, what they still struggle with, the tools they use, their plans for the future, and more... My hope is that these open and honest conversations will inspire, educate, and entertain. My goal is usefulness.

Jean Chatzky is an award-winning financial journalist, author, motivational speaker, and host of the Her Money podcast. She is the TODAY Show’s financial expert, and has appeared on Oprah, Live with Regis and Kelly, and The View, among others. She blogs at jeanchatzky.com. I’ve had the honor of having Jean keynote FinCon, podcast live from the stage there, and she’s always so gracious with her time. In this episode, Jean shares the different savings and retirement accounts that she automates, the mistakes she dealt with coming out of college, why she felt inauthentic early in her career, the deal she cut with her kids to pay for college after her divorce, and much more. There’s a bonus at the end of this episode. Jean has a new book out, Age Proof. And I ask her some questions related to health & wealth that are specifically tailored to you, the Masters of Money audience.
