I have a confession for you....I don’t really care about money! I took an assessment recently that tested my top motivating factors and guess where money fell?! Dead last! I tell my clients all the time that I would do what I do for free, but unfortunately, in this world our currency is money. I hate to admit this, but we need money to survive. That means I have to charge for my programs and services....and sometimes people really want to work with me, but they can’t afford it. It’s the WORST for me. They really want to change and I really want to work with them, but the darn finance piece gets in the way. Early on in my business, I just said “screw the money” and gave away several scholarships to people who couldn’t afford to work with me. Whereas I thought I was doing something good, I found these scholarships recepients didn’t work as hard and didn’t get as great of results as those who invested in the program (...and those who invested a higher levels tended to get better results). Not only is money something we need, there’s a psychology with money. There’s such a BIG psychology with money in fact that many of us find that money is a big thing that’s keeping us stuck from taking our life to the next level. We want to do things like personal development, travel, shop, etc. but, that darn money piece gets in the way. Plus, the way we spend money sometimes feels like we’re a victim to it. We buy things we don’t wanna buy...we go out when we don’t wanna go out...we help people that we can’t really afford to help. These poor money habits are costing us our livelihood and future! Today, I want to give you some ways in which you can create more money in your life. This isn’t scammy or slimy ways either, just simple mindset exercises to do in order to spend less money on things that don’t matter and create more money for the things that do. For a non-money girl, I once lived in a space as a single mama where money was SUPER tight and I did have to think about money ALL THE TIME. I used the exercises I’m teaching you today to take a very small monthly income and make it work to pay all my bills + spend money on the things that mattered. If you’re ready to up your money game, this episode is for you.
