About This Show
Hello everyone, this is me. You can call me La Shaguita. I'm a 29 year old San Francisco/Spain resident who fled from the closet in June 2013. Ironically, though, I still record in it. The LesbiHonest podcast chronicles my curiosities, insights, and explorations as a freshly-liberated lesbian. In my out of the closet adventures I hit the streets of the Bay Area and beyond (most recently, in Western Europe) to talk to other LGBTQ-minded folks about cool stuff that they're doing and thinking. So go ahead, push a play button or two. If you regret it, just pack up your u-haul and move on.

La Shaguita Becomes a "Top"
La Shaguita has decided she wants to be a top. But what the hell does that mean, anyway? Why does it conjure up images of pants, suspenders, and various forms of domination? Tune in as La Shaguita explores this concept with a couple collectively known as The Laur, due to their very similar first names. And get ready for some brief political commentary beforehand because, you know, it's election season in the U.S. and the results are horrifying. Special thanks to María José Montijo for her beautiful music. **Trigger warning (because we still believe in those): this episode contains some harsh language, including repeated references to the phrase "slap that bit&h." Within the episode La Shaguita and her friends end up dismantling this terrible phrase and examining the reasons it is so unacceptable. However, if you get triggered by references to violence against women, which Lesbihonest Podcast does NOT condone in any way, you might want to take that into account before pressing play.
