One of the hardest things to do, at times, is to believe who God has called you to be. He tells you, “You’re blessed. You’re favored. You have the power to create wealth…and a lot more.” But seemingly, everything around you isn’t lining up. You feel defeated. Your life doesn’t progress as you’d hope. You’re broke. If you aren’t careful, you just may start to doubt God that what He says is even true, especially His power. Here’s one thing I realized. It doesn’t matter what you think about yourself or what the circumstances look like. You are STILL who God says you are. Think of it this way. A flower—whether it’s in seed form in the ground, sprouting up from the ground, or fully blossomed, it will always be a flower. It may be in different stages of it’s life, but in the end, it will be what it was purposed to be. The Scripture says, Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud. So how do you overcome negative thoughts and emotions? Keep in mind that you will go through NUMEROUS seasons in life—where you may feel broke, disgusted, unaccomplished, and unsuccessful—but you are STILL who God has called you to be. Never forget that. Do you have a hard time believing who God has called you to be? If so, I’d love to hear from you.
