I love riding motorcycles but sadly I had a big accident, and I lost my [memory]… But now I am okay and I just got out of the hospital. But I still have some [problems] with my vision. I [have] blurry vision, [because] I had [a] head injury. I [want to] know is it going to heal? Or [do] I need to take any sort [of] medicine? Thank you!”
Well, Lucas, first of all, I’m so sorry to hear about the accident, but I’m glad to hear that you’re doing okay now and out of the hospital.
While I don’t diagnose or treat eye problems over the internet, I can give you some ideas and information about how head injuries can affect vision and what can be done to fix those problems.
A traumatic brain injury (TBI) happens when your brain moves around very quickly inside your head, like in a motorcycle accident. When this happens, any part of your brain can be damaged, including areas of your brain that control vision.
Vision problems related to TBI can last for years after the accident. Some common eye symptoms that can occur after a TBI are:
* double vision
* blurry near vision
* headaches after certain visual tasks
* difficulty with eye
