The CounterMentors Podcast
About This Show
FINALLY! A place you can go to get BOTH perspectives from the workplace. Boomer AND Millennial. This show is designed to demonstrate how seasoned leaders can benefit from mentoring AND countermentoring to create a high-performance workplace. We'll help you figure out how to blend the very best of both generations to create better relationships, better results, and a better life altogether.
Join father and son, Kelly and Robby Riggs, as they debate and negotiate the best practices from two generations. Hint: Old guys rule. (Sometimes.)

CM116 "Who Says Millennials Don't Work on Weekends?"
For many Boomer managers, working hours are from 8-5. Or 9-5. If you're not at your desk during those hours, CLEARLY you are NOT working! But Millennials (and other employees as well) are much more accustomed to work habits that bear no resemblance whatsoever to the standard grind. Early mornings. Late evenings. And (shock!) even weekends...? What to do with all of these disjointed schedules? Crazy work hours can be a huge disruption to communication and collaboration, and Boomer managers typically aren't adapting very well to the idea of "come and go as you please." So, what are leaders to do?? Join Kelly and Robby as they try to figure out why Millennials can't seem to make it to work by 8:00 am (allegedly), and why Boomers insist on rigid work hours (usually).
