Some places are forbidden, especially for groups of unruly teenagers, for the night is dark and full of terrors! This week Shawn and Boris discuss 2016's Oxenfree by Night School Studio, side by side with Maniac Mansion from 1987, one of the first adventure games made by LucasArt. They discuss the differences and the similarities, along with both games' aspirations of replayability. Among other things, Boris realized that the games he chooses to replay aren't usually considered to be replayable, and the replayable ones don't engage him more than once. P.S. If you are sensitive to SPOILERS, know that there are no major plot spoilers made. However, some outcomes in Oxenfree are hinted at, as well as some of the alternative solutions of problems in Maniac Mansion.
