The Science of Science
"Curiosity is more important than a body of knowledge" and perhaps that quote by Neil deGrasse Tyson fits my interest in science not only as deep pockets (or not so deep) of knowledge but as an opportunity to step back and ask questions about science as an institution, a part of our culture, and a phenomenon in its own right. Some might call it the 'science of science.'
I don't get as much of that perspective as I'd like and this episode of the fivethirtyeight podcast, 'What's the Point?' helps with that craving.
The half hour format kept me listening. I also found the first episode to be interesting for similar reasons, though focused differently on big data questions.

Fun look at the numbers around us
We are surrounded with stats and interpretations of them. What's the point takes some of them and asks the hard questions about methodologies and interpretations of those numbers, all in an entertaining way. Pretty fun stuff.

A great podcast of using data in all aspects of life. It is going to be a weekly listen for me. Very intelligent discussion.
