Feasting Feminists Podcast
About This Show
We are two white women who discuss intersectional feminism at length. This means that we discuss the experiences of people of color (POC), particularly women of color (WOC), as well as otherwise oppressed/marginalized groups of people to which we do not belong. This is a sensitive task that we do not take lightly. Let us be clear that we intend to use this podcast as an educational tool for other white or otherwise privileged individuals who may be struggling to understand intersectional feminism and why it is important. Episodes are released bi-weekly. Find out more at FeastingFeminists.com.

Episode 5: BlackLivesMatter
Kate researched and found 128 names that Rosey reads aloud in this very real, very raw episode. 128 names of black people who were murdered this year by police officers. The most upsetting aspect of this heartbreaking list is, however, that it is not exhaustive. And it was very difficult to compile. Through her research, Kate found that it was near impossible to find bios for the individuals named other than criminal rap sheets; evidence of the dehumanizing of POC in which the media so willingly participates. Join us for some important information on BlackLivesMatter, police brutality, and race relations in the United States as Rosey gets personal about her own family during this time of heartbreak and tension.
