About This Show
We are Merri and Missy, two girls who love talking about the things they love both as fans and as critics. We love comics, video games, movies, books, and everything from The Avengers to Zelda. Episode 67 - Sad Girl Aesthetic
Time to get sad in episode 67, in which we discuss what we're calling the 'sad girl aesthetic,' or the intentional cultivation of a sad, feminine image. What's so appealing about this kind of aesthetic? What does its popularity represent in a deeper sense? Why sadness? Why? We're diving into The Virgin Suicides, The Love Witch, and the ouvre of Lana Del Rey to find out.Warning: There's some discussion of suicide and brief mentions of sexual violence. We also don't censor our swearing. What Missy's Been Up To:

I love these girls!
I am a trans female. I love hearing FakeGeekGirls and hearing about new LGBTQQIA+ comics/shows, and I am still learning about representation of all minorities. I am especially loving these recent Sailor Moon reviews. My favorite Anime/Manga. <3
