While many have focused on offensive tackles the Panthers could take with the 25th pick in the upcoming draft, the deep pool of players at the position means there will be plenty of other options after the first round. Carolina assistant offensive line coach Ray Brown was in Oklahoma last week to get a took a closer look at a couple mid-round prospects. Tyrus Thompson and Daryl Williams have never been far apart since they each arrived in Norman in 2009. Thompson was a three-year starter at left tackle while Williams was on the right side. Off the field, they became roommates, best friends, and Williams the godfather of Thompson’s daughter.
