Art Therapy & Healing with Artistic Adventures
This episode we are joined by the owner of the art studio, Artistic Adventures, Jayme Teague. Jayme shares how she uses art in her personal and professional life to help her students bring about healing, stress relief and learning to live from a place of "good enough" versus striving for perfection. She says, "Art is a journey into the soul. It brings us to a heightened awareness of what lies within us and provides an escape from every day stresses. I discovered the full meaning of this 21 years ago, when I first experienced clay. After two hours of “playing in the mud”, I was completely relaxed. All I could think about was how to make something out of the lump of clay in front of me. I didn’t think about the stressful traffic on the way to class or the 20 things that were added to my daily "to-do" list. I escaped from everything!"
